Gas cylinders are a popular source of energy that is used in households, but also in catering or tourism. When we do not have a mains gas connection, we can use a cylinder of liquid propane butane gas. Larger cylinders are also used in industry.

Types of cylinders by capacity:

The most popular cylinder is the one with a capacity of 11 kg. It has a versatile use in households when connecting gas cookers. It can also be used in campervans or gas-powered forklift trucks. Cylinders of 5,10,33 kg are also available. The smaller ones are mainly used for tourism and the larger ones are industrial cylinders, mainly for use in construction and installation work.

When connecting a gas cylinder, safety is paramount. This is ensured by observing a few rules. First of all, before connecting the gas cylinder, read the operating instructions carefully. The condition of the cylinder should be assessed, as well as the condition of the accessories required for connection, such as the hose or pressure regulator. The condition of the gasket at the cylinder valve outlet is also important. Particular care should be taken to ensure that the cylinder is not in the vicinity of heat-generating appliances and that the fire is not opened when the cylinder is connected. Another very important component for the installation of the gas cylinder is the pressure reducer.
