As a socially responsible company, we know very well how art positively influences our creativity. How it can provoke associations, arouse memories and stimulate unconventional activities in our lives. Painting is another artistic form of expression supported by Cetel-Serwis Ltd.
Plein air painting in Boszkowo
Our company co-organised the painting plein-air "TIME FOR ART" at Lake Dominica in Boszków. For the past week, artists have been transferring their emotions and feelings onto canvases. The participants' paintings will open the vernissage, which will take place in the space of Poznan's Sheraton Hotel. The effects of the work of a dozen artists will be on show on 28 May, from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
Who participated in the plein air?
More than a dozen artists participated in the plein-air painting workshop. Each of the participants is an amazing personality and presents an original work. The project was supervised by the commissioner of the plein-air workshop, Ewa Jasek, who is also the artist and author of the exhibited works.

These works deal with new media, memory and photography. He is one of the finalists of the 9th edition of the New Image / New Look competition.
Karol Bak
The artist painted several hundred oil paintings over several years, which constitute the largest, but not the only part of his artistic output. The artist also created prints, ink drawings, pastel portraits, pencil sketches and wall frescoes. These works differ not only in technique, but in the way they are perceived. Oil paintings can be considered the lighter and more serene side of the artistic soul, while drawings and sketches are the darker and more sinister aspect of the work. The two elements come together in the thematic cycles that have been created over the years - Sailboats and Dialogues. Apart from these, his oil paintings also include Cocoons, Aureoles, Four Elements, Judith and Salome, Prima Mobilia, and a series of Nocturnes inspired by the music of Fryderyk Chopin, on the occasion of the Chopin Year 2010. Currently, Karol Bąk cooperates with over a dozen showrooms in Poland and around the world.
Katarzyna Szurkowska
Graduate of the Institute of Fine Arts at the University of Zielona Góra, she obtained her diploma in 2002 in drawing in Professor Zenon Polus's studio. She has been associated with the Zielona Góra artists' community since 2008. She practises painting, drawing and spatial design. For the artist, colour and form are independent, though complementary, means of expression. Colour ... is the most important, through it she releases energy and shows her own point of view. She paints what she feels, what she sees, what her imagination suggests, what is and what is not there. And the form...it defines and organises the emotions. The combination of colour and form is sometimes spontaneous, haphazard with some risk-taking, and sometimes it is a well-thought-out composition where colour, shape and texture permeate each other. However, the moment when the artist has the freedom of gesture and acts on impulse is the most significant for her.
Ares Chadzinikolau
Poet, pianist, composer, translator, vice-chairman of the ZG Polish Writers' Union in Warsaw, distinguished for his contribution to Polish culture, leader and vocalist of Ares & The Tribe, Ares Chadzinikolau Trio and Jah Ares Quartet. A long-standing lecturer at the Ignacy Jan Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznań[1]. He holds a doctoral degree in the humanities. His AristonRRstudio is a fusion of Greece, Africa and the Caribbean. A real Gallery full of authorial and Greek images, artefacts from his many travels. He writes books, translates, composes, lectures and plays many instruments. He grew up in two cultures, between Poland and Greece, in a house full of art and literature. The artist is no stranger to painting.
Daniel Pielucha
Graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow (1985) with a diploma under Prof. Jerzy Nowotarski at the Department of Graphics in Katowice. With great respect for the technique and history of Polish painting, he emphasises its unique character. He eagerly participates in the most important plein-airs of figurative art. The folklore of the Polish countryside, beliefs and customs are the setting for his painting visions, in which he expresses his attitude to the contemporary world and the existence of others. The most important form of his work is oil easel painting. Polish Surrealism - as he himself described the nature of his painting - is inspired by the landscape of our countryside, its folklore and beliefs. The surrealist metaphor ubiquitous in Daniel Pielucha's paintings is re-evaluated by him depending on whether it represents a desperate morality play on man's socio-spiritual situation or merely a glimmer of a turpist image of the world. The painter emphasises his respect for the history and tradition of Polish painting, especially from the second half of the 19th century. With great care for the technique, he cultivates in his work what made it unique. In the age of globalisation, preserving his own identity is the rigour he sets before his painting. Choosing between biblical, mythological or folk themes, he tells us about the human condition in a specifically Polish surrealist convention. The artist actively participates in collective exhibitions of Polish painting, while also exhibiting individually. Through the galleries of Warsaw, Katowice or Gdańsk, his works find their way into private collections in Poland and abroad.
Piotr Łakomy
He studied at the Faculty of Arts at the University of Zielona Góra, where he received his diploma from Leszek Knaflewski in 2009. Since the beginning of his artistic career, Łakomy has referred to the tradition of minimalism, focusing on creating sculptures from commonly available materials that define our contemporary post-industrial, technological civilisation. In doing so, the artist found the expressive and formal qualities of his works in the pragmatic functions and uses of the given materials from which he created them. In the most recent period of his work, Łakomy has sought to increasingly imbue his realisations with organic, existential and even symbolic qualities. A visual artist who refers to the tradition of minimalism and explores painting, he realises installations that react to the existing architecture. His work takes a critical approach to modernity, the amount of information, the materials and technologies that surround us. Using lighting and materials that react to movement, he introduces the viewer to the process of creating spatial arrangements/compositions in a specific space and time.
Krzysztof Szygenda
Poznan-based artist photographer, photojournalist. He has been professionally involved in photography for almost 20 years. His works have been awarded at press photography competitions (Wielkopolska Press photo 2004 - 2008) and shown at post-competition exhibitions as well as individual exhibitions - "Close Encounters" (2006), "Between Worlds" (2015). Another individual exhibition was "Śródeckie Historie" at the Gate of Poznań. Painting is a second form of expression for the artist.
Michał Bajsarowicz
Michał Bajsarowicz - studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznań, diploma under professor B. Wegner 1992 (drawing). Areas of creativity: painting, graphic art, sculpture. Numerous exhibitions at home and abroad. "Man" the eternal, inexhaustible subject of artistic considerations from antiquity to the present. A very broad and universal area, the main element of which is human existence dominates the art of Michał Bajsarowicz. The artist refers to the theme of man, the human body, in all areas of his work. His paintings, prints and sculptures all refer to these motifs. These are not objects in search of beauty. They are intended to 'puzzle the viewer' and not merely lead to aesthetic contemplation.
Tom Glaza
Studied at the State Higher School of Visual Arts in Gdansk in the architecture studio of Prof. Boleslaw Petrycki, industrial design studio of Prof. Jacek Popek, painting studios of Prof. Kazimierz Śramkiewicz and Prof. Hugo Lasecki. He received his diploma with honours in 1981. In 1984, he opened his own creative studio, Glaza Design. He was involved in design, interior design and the production of artistic leather products. In 1991, he opened the Glaza Expo Design Art Gallery in Gdańsk, which still operates today. Tomasz Glaza is the author of many artistic realisations, e.g. the design and production of leather bindings for bronze medals for the Holy Father John Paul II (1979), the design and production of leather bindings for diplomas for the Honourary Citizens of the City of Gdańsk awarded by the City Council and the President of the City of Gdańsk (1991), the realisation of the design in cooperation with Arch. W. Trzebiatowski with his team, renovation, expansion and modernisation of the Bydgoszcz Cable Factory (1993-1999), architectural designs, interior design for houses and residences, furniture production for yachts and motor boats Sunreef Yachts in Gdansk, Galeon in Straszyn and for clients from Norway: Nor-Dan, Nord-Kapp, GH, HTEP (1999-2008). Since 1981, he has presented his work in painting mainly at the Glaza Expo Design Art Gallery. In 2016, he participated in the exhibition 'Our Gdansk' on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Glaza Expo Design Art Gallery. He participated in the painting exhibition 'Freedom in Art' at the ECS in Gdansk, in the exhibition 'On the Road' on the Sobieszewo Island and at the Krokowa Castle, as well as in 2017 in the exhibition of the Gdansk District of ZPAP 'Independence for Independence' in Torun.
Marcin Mikolajczak
Avid traveller, photographer and artist of many talents. Studied at the Academy of Visual Arts in Poznań. He began his adventure with painting by creating realistic prints of London. Living in England and observing "from the inside" the life of the great city, he brilliantly portrayed the image of centuries-old monuments woven into the pace of everyday life. A very important stage in Marcin Mikolajczak's professional biography is the creation of original picture frames, commissioned by galleries, museums and for the needs of individual collectors. The design and creation of a series of unique furniture pieces for the Stary Browar centre of commerce and art in Poznań and the interior decoration for the boutique hotel Blow Up are also individual projects in the artist's oeuvre. The unusual capture of the figure, its arresting movement and the expressive colours of the works encouraged the owners of the Wittchen company to entrust Marcin Mikołajczak with painting a series of paintings of models presenting the factory's products. His experience in conservation work and numerous artistic experiments led to the creation of his own, unique painting technique, which the author is now using to paint further works. The clear texture, specific application of layers of paint and unusual use of colour and light, as well as the fascination with man and his emotions, are the trademark of Marcin Mikołajczak's paintings, which cannot be mistaken with any other artist. He enjoys travelling to exotic countries in search of colours and impressions, particularly to Asia and Africa, where he reaches places far removed from civilisation and captures moving and unusual images with his camera, later transferring them to canvas with his characteristic sensitivity.
Zofia Blażko
In 2010, she defended her master's degree at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk in the field of 'Painting' in the atelier of Prof. Maciej Świeszewski and completed her first degree in the field of 'Photography' under the supervision of Prof. Witold Węgrzyn. In 2012, she graduated from postgraduate studies in the field of 'Art Therapy' at the Medical Academy in Gdańsk. The painter, fascinated by the life and work of Parisian painters, decided to travel to France after completing her studies. In Paris, she stayed at the Jour et Nuit Culture artist residency and then created at the prestigious Chez Robert, Électron Libre studio at 59 rue de Rivoli. Her Parisian time also saw her study in the studio of Professor Jacqu Yankiel Kikoine, a lecturer at the Academy of Fine Arts in Paris, son of Michel Kikoine one of the founders of the École de Paris. Recognised for her diligence and artistry, she was the first Polish woman in history to be given the opportunity to design and realise the decoration of the six-storey façade of the building that is the artistic cradle of bohemian modern Paris at 59 rue de Rivoli. Seeking new inspiration, the artist travelled to Dakar, the capital of Senegal, in 2015 for an artist residency. The six-month stay resulted in numerous portraits of African people, which were highly acclaimed by the local community. The closing exhibition of the artist in residence was honoured by Senegal's Minister of Culture himself, Mbagnick Ndiaye. In the second half of 2015. Zofia Blazko held an artist residency at the Shangyuan Art Museum in Beijing, while in 2018 she held an artist residency at the St. Petersburg Art Residency in the Russian Federation. Currently, the painter lives and works in Warsaw. She has had nine solo exhibitions at, among others: Witkacy Theatre - Zakopane 2016; Kuratorium Gallery - Warsaw 2017; and 101 Projekt Gallery - Warsaw 2018. She has also participated in over a dozen group exhibitions including: Sunny Art Centre - London 2019; National Historical Museum - Tiran 2019; "Robinson's Ship" - Wrocław 2019; Baltic Sea Cultural Centre - Gdańsk 2017; Musée Théodore Monod D'art Africain - Dakar 2015; Shangyuan Art Museum - Beijing 2015.
Danusia Krzyżanowska
Graduate of the Secondary School of Fine Arts in Poznań. She graduated from the WSZ in marketing with a specialisation in art in advertising. She is fascinated by contemporary painting, but also by art in advertising. She has taken part in many nationwide plein-air painting workshops. She continuously develops her passion and skills through contact and exchange with other artists. The artist is inspired by other people, the surrounding nature and her personal approach to the world.
Ewa Jasek
Painter, graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznań. Since she began her education, painting has become her most important means of artistic expression. Ewa Jasek's work, although it evokes associations with the pop-art of the 1960s and 1970s, draws its aesthetics and even ornamentation from the present day. One could rather say that her painting refers to the best traditions of the genre, bringing in its own means of expression. Ewa Jasek's paintings spectacularly combine several planes and even styles, giving the viewer new value at the highest level. Ewa Jasek is also a cultural animator, organiser of workshops, plein-air paintings and exhibitions. Parallel to her artistic work, she ran the School of Young Talents for many years, as well as art classes in Cultural Centres. She is the author of a reconstruction of the painting "Ecce homo" by Anthon van Dyck, which was lost during World War II. The artist has had numerous solo and group exhibitions at home and abroad. Hundreds of oil and acrylic paintings constitute a considerable artistic output of several years of creative work.
Dariusz Kamys
Main character of the Hrabi cabaret. He is a mechanic in the construction and repair of mining machinery, a cultural and educational pedagogue and a theatre instructor by profession. However, there is no school related to painting in his portfolio, and he creates paintings that make an impression. The artist's paintings depict emotions through the face, because he believes that the face expresses them best.
The plein-air painting workshop certainly enabled, facilitated and even provoked artistic expression in some. Thanks to the results of the artists' work, a vernissage of paintings created using various techniques was organised. Coming soon, a report on the opening of the "TIME FOR ART" exhibition at the Sheraton in Poznań.
